Arizona Private Investigator Licensing Requirements

PI licenses are only issued to individuals who are under the sponsorship (or employment) of a Department of Public Safety licensed private investigation agency. Once a candidate is offered employment, he must submit fingerprints, a color photograph, and pay the required fee to become licensed. A person is allowed to work for more than one private detective agency; however, he must obtain a separate license for each agency he is employed with.
