Georgia Private Investigator Licensing Requirements

Georgia only issues private investigator licenses to companies. The company must have a qualified individual with at least two years of law enforcement experience, or as a registered PI with a licensed private detective company and a four year degree in criminal justice or a similar field. In addition, a PI applicant has to undergo a criminal background check, and pass a written examination.
