Kentucky Private Investigator Licensing Requirements

A private investigator licensing applicant in Kentucky must be at least 21-years old, have a high school diploma or equivalent, and have no felony convictions. Any misdemeanor convictions involving a controlled substance cannot be within three years of the application date. An applicant for a PI license must also be of good moral character, pass a written examination, and pass a criminal background check.
