Missouri Private Investigator Licensing Requirements

Private detective licenses in Missouri are issued by the Missouri Board of Private Examiners. Applicants must pass a criminal background check, provide two passport style photos, and complete an examination. Proof of prior work experience is also required and can include any of the following: employee evaluations, letters from supervisors, and three letters from previous clients.
