Montana Private Investigator Licensing Requirements

Private detective licenses in Montana are issued by the Board of Private Security. An applicant must be 21-years or older, be a legal U.S. citizen, have a high school diploma, pass a criminal background check, have a minimum of three years (5400 hours) of relevant experience, and pass a board examination.
