Oregon Private Investigator Licensing Requirements

To obtain a P.I. license from the Oregon Department of Public Safety Standards and Training, an applicant must be at least 18-years old, be eligible to work in the U.S., submit fingerprints for a criminal background check, and get a passing score on the investigator competency test. Licensing applicants must also have either 1500 hours of investigative work experience or completed a related course of study.
