Utah Private Investigator Licensing Requirements

To qualify for a private investigator license in Utah, an applicant must be at least 21-years old, be of good moral character, and have no felony convictions or convictions involving drugs, fraud, or illegal weapons.

Applicants are also required to have at least two years of investigative experience as a licensed private investigator for a private agency, or 2000 hours of work experience in an investigative capacity for a government agency.
