Washington Private Investigator Licensing Requirements

PI licenses in Washington are issued by the Department of Licensing. An applicant must be 18-years or older, be a U.S. citizen or resident alien, and either be employed or be offered employment by licensed private investigative agency. Licensing candidates must also pass a criminal background check, and complete the pre-assignment training requirements.
